Parents and Community Volunteers,
We are in need of volunteer proctors for track 1 EOGs and tracks 2, 3, and 4 EOGs. All proctors must be approved WCPSS volunteers. You may register at any Wake County school during regular operating hours. The process takes about 5 minutes to complete. Please consider volunteering your time to at least one of the dates listed below, and use the Sign Up Genius link to indicate which day/s you will be able to help.

Welcome to Heritage Elementary School!
In case you missed the phone message...
Hello, this is Jennifer Abraham, Principal of HES, with a message for the week of April 17. Kindergarten students on tracks ⅔ will be visiting the farm on April 19. Track 3 tracks out on April 20, and we welcome back track 4 on the 21. Kindergarten students on track 1 will be visiting the farm on April 21. There is a parent meeting for select fourth and fifth grade classes (Ms. Long, Ms. Overby, Ms. Obiedzenski and Ms. Ellenberger), on April 21 from 6-7pm in the media center regarding BYOD. Friday April 22 is a Happy at HES day...wear your yellow shirt or school colors. There is a pep rally for tracks 2/4 on April 22. Tracks ½ will have class pictures on April 22. The Human Growth and Development parent meeting scheduled for April 28 is cancelled and will be rescheduled. Please join us for Hestival on Friday April 22. There will be games, prizes, food trucks, activities and a raffle just for kids! Raffle items include an I tunes gift card, Lego sets, craft sets and games. There will also be a silent auction that includes a Gladwell Orthodontics certificate, lots of gift cards and Durham Bulls tickets. Please join us for a night of fun for the whole family. Buy your tickets and raffle tickets early to avoid the lines. Hope to see you there and thank you for your continued support!
Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of assigning a student to a higher-grade level than is typical, given the student's age, for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities.
